Anonymous asked: how did you get into journalism? and how did you meet andrew ?
I always liked newspapers. Wrote on my high school paper. Got into Syracuse for news writing. Worked at The Daily Orange (which was a million times better education than college) and through there got connections for jobs at The Morning Call and The Sun-Sentinel.
Andrew and I went to the same high school albeit a few years apart. He was running a critical thinking course while I was a student that I very much enjoyed. We kept in touch and have since become hetero lifemates.
